          Coordination meeting on management plan reducing the impact on public due to electrification load shed was held on May 11, 2019, at 09:00 a.m. at meeting room of Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation in Yangon Region.

          In this meeting, Union Minister U Win Khaing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, U Hla Moe Aung , Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing, Daw Nilar Kyaw, Yangon Region Minister for  Electricity, Industry and Roads and Communication, U Tin Maung Oo, Permanent Secretary, Chairman of Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation, Managing Directors of Enterprises, Departmental Heads, District Managers and Engineers, Township Managers and Engineers, Transmission Line’s Managers and Sub Station’s Managers  were presented.

          Firstly Union Minister U Win Khaing delivered an opening speech as following-

• MOEE is performing further electricity distribution to whole nation and managing to generate 746.2 MW from many kinds of resources between 2016 and 2018.
• MOEE performed to complete new gas power plants of installed capacity of 353 MW between the beginning of 2019 and May, 2019.
• Besides inventing 4 meters system, public would choose what they liked.
• The percentage of consumers improve from 34 % at 2016 to 44% at now and total no. of 68 towns and  5191 villages got electricity and then

     can manage 50 % of consumers of the whole nations for 24/7 in         December, 2019.

• Our Government is striking to equalize,  manage to get not only stable power but also electricity for un- electrified region. According to this activities managing to get electricity for 55 % of consumer of the whole nations at 2021, for 75 % of consumer of the whole nations at 2025-2026 and for 100 % of consumer of the whole nations at 2030.
• MOEE is managing the more consumption of electricity, the more generation.
• Public used qualified electricity as they required therefore they used many electrical equipment especially air conditioners obviously.
• Although MOEE is managing to fulfill of electricity requirement of public, the usage of electricity increases being the weather of our country uncharacteristically hot.
• Power demand for the whole country of April, 2019 is 400MW and forecasting of Power demand for the whole country of 2020 will 688 MW. Moreover Power demand for the whole country will additionally increase 500MW as the usage of electricity will increase as this year, so power demand for the whole country of 2020 will be 1588 MW.
• MOEE is managing to fulfill this requirement during short time in generation.
• MOEE is managing to collect water for further generation from last rainy season due to power forecasting and generated more last year.
• Due to some gas turbines were repaired unexceptionally, hydropower plants were more generated so the usage of water is more. Moreover two times of system breakdowns were occurred because of burning forest.
• At that time to retransmit electricity, it has technically weakness in conduction one transmission line to one transmission line so MOEE is managing to change single circuit to double circuit.
• Moreover MOEE is managing to upgrade 230 kV transmission line to 500 kV transmission line.
• To perform above actions, MOEE needs time and budget. Township’s managers and engineers who contact with public would explain them that MOEE is trying best with getting time and budget.
• Yangon Region more obviously feel condition of load shed than other region and state because  it use ½ of all generations moreover it has thickness of population, many sky skipper buildings, many traffic vehicles.
• It is required to notify to public for performing load shed in awkward position cooperated with the respective region and state government.
• It is required not to harm administration, rule of law, department of public health, street lights that required for security and city tour and other transportations during performing load shed.
• It is also required to divide street lights wire and domestic wire separately because street lights would remain during performing load shed.
• It is also required to manage to be the least impact to public.
• And it is also required to negotiate the industrial consumers to work their industry in the time when no public use electricity.
• It is also required to perform awareness the public not to use electricity if not require in order to control the usage of electricity.
• It is required Transmission Line’s Managers and Sub Station’s Managers who presented this meeting to give awareness to public not to do the burning forest, storing oil and fuel under transmission line cooperated with respective administration organization.
• MOEE, the organization that is performing the services to public so it is required Transmission Line’s Managers and Sub Station’s Managers to show the public the performance of our ministry.

          Then Deputy Director of DPTSC and District Managers (East, West, South, and North) of YESC explained the load plan and street lamps plan respectively. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of YESC also explained the state of changing street lamps’ line which included in occasion of performed load shed, the state of system improvement and the state of least impact to public when performed load shed.

          Daw Nilar Kyaw, Yangon Region minister for Electricity, Industry and Roads and Communication reviewed plan for least impact to public when performed load shed and Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing ‌also reviewed performance plans for respective districts.

          Finally, Union Minister U Win Khaing instructed to manage to be the least impact to public and to notify to public timely and to perform works among the staffs with unity.
