          H.E. Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing for MOEE accompanied by U Than Nyunt Win, Sagaing Region Minister for Electricity, Industry and Transportation and Departmental Concerned inspected 230kV  Shwebo Main Substation Project located in Shwebo Township implementing by Department of Power Transmission and System Control and 230kV Ohntaw Main Substation located in Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region on  21^st Sept, 2019 in the morning.

 Firstly, Deputy Minister and his companions arrived to construction site of 230kV  Shwebo Main Substation Project. At the briefing hall, U Min Naing, Project Director (Northern) of Power Transmission Projects Department under DPTSC explained about current status and future plan of Transmission Lines. According to his explanation, U Myo Naing, Deputy Director General of DPTSC made additional explanation on above items. And then, U Myo Thant Tun, Divisional Engineer explained about the current electricity distribution in Sagaing Region. According to their explanations, Deputy Minister instructed to implement construction projects in time, to take care of safety in construction site, to qualify the materials of substation. And then, Deputy Minister coordinated the current problems together with Sagaing Region Minister and inspected around construction site.

        After completion of 230 KV Shwebo Main Substation and Transmission Line Projects, the power generated by the Dapein-1 Hydropower Station in Bhamo, Kachin State would be transported to the national grid through the 230 kV Bhamo-Nabar-Shwebo- Ohntaw transmission line and because of that the 21 quarters in Shwebo, KhinU and YeU including nearly 22,575 households and nearly 29,828 households from 216 villages where already electrified would be transmitted in full voltage.

          And then, Deputy Minister arrived to 230 KV Ohntaw Main Substation in Sagaing Township. In this Substation, Substation Engineer (Ohntaw) explained about the salient features of Substation, current status of electricity distribution and progress of 230/33/11 kV, 100 MVA additional transformer. And then, Assistant Director, Transmission Line Office (Ohntaw) also explained about the maintenance works of Transmission Lines. According to their explanations, Deputy Minister instructed to take care of safety in installation works of 230/33/11 kV, 100 MVA additional transformer, to carry out maintenance of equipment and cables in attempts to supply electricity to the people in full voltage. And then, Deputy Minister and his companions inspected around substation area.
