          H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing  for Ministry of Electricity and Energy received H.E. Ms.Tone Tinnes, Ambassador of Norway to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar leading delegation at Minister’s Parlour, Office No.(27), on 13th November 2019, 10:00 AM.

          During the meeting, according to the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) Phase II (Norway Program)within 2019-2023 discussed the role of hydropower technology, drafting the Grid Code for power transmission, environmental and social management, assisting in matters such as English skills training, according to the Oil for Development (OFD) program, for the development of Myanmar's oil and gas sector. Programs for sending scholars to Norway and other countries for human resource development; Co-operation in resource management; Collecting data on electricity and energy sector, saving, sharing of environmental impact assessments and safety experiences; Short-term, Long-term plans of ongoing efforts to obtain electricity in Myanmar, the hydropower project which is implement by Norwegian companies and the current situation of the oil and gas sector.

          Deputy Minister(Energy) Dr. Tun Naing and Deputy Minister(Electricity) U Khin Maung Win for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Departmental Heads and Representative from Norwegian embassy in Myanmar attended this meeting.
