         The signing ceremony for buying materials and for consulting services of NEP project which will be implemented under World Bank Loan was held at Yadanar Hall , MOEE, Office No. 27 on 6 June 2018 in the afternoon (2 : 00)PM.

          In this ceremony , Union Minister U Win Khaing , Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing, Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo, Chairmen , Director Generals, Managing Directors and Departmental Heads under MOEE and responsible persons from companies were presented.

          Firstly, Union Minister delivered an opening address that.

• MOEE will need USD (5.8) Billion to construct Medium and low voltage line and transformer/ substations under NEP plan to supply electricity across the nation of Myanmar by 2030. So, the government will cooperate with private sector,
• MOEE has been planning to supply electricity to (5080) villages as first phase which are situated within (2) miles and (7639) villages as second phase which are situated within (5) miles from current grid system under World Bank Loan USD(310) million,
• In implementing this project, MOEE will need to understand procurement guideline and procedure of the organization and country funded. So, MOEE has been implementing step by step to indulge due to obligation as per specifications.
• MOEE has signed contract price USD (15.444) millions for transformer (5389) Nos., the contract price (6801) million kyats for concrete pole (48399) Nos., contract price USD (4.204) millions for steel pole (11484) Nos., contract price USD (21.179) millions for ACSR conductors (10449) tons commencing from 3.11.2015, to now.
• Today, MOEE would sign contract price USD (6.195) millions for insulators and related fittings (798675) pairs, contract price USD (18.81) millions for transformer and line accessories,  contract price USD (15.114) millions for steel parts and accessories, contract price (6182) million kyats for concrete pole (43458) Nos., contract price USD(3.859) millions and (2035)millions kyats for consulting services, totally  contract price USD.(50.036) millions for (19) contracts.
•  MOEE needs to attempt to supply qualified products and to get the effective consultant services according to contract's terms and condition so that MOEE can perform NEP project ( Phase-1) in time if and only if all required materials reach as per schedule.

And then, in the signing ceremony on one consulting service and 18 contracts for buying materials, U Saw Win Maung, Managing Director of ESE ,U Myint Thu , General Manager of YESC, U kyaw Thu, CEO of MESC and responsible persons from respective companies signed and mutual exchanged the contracts and took photo section.

MOEE would electrify to (5080) villages, households (626758) in 14 States and Regions as consequence of this singing ceremony.
