(5-7-2018) Nay Pyi Taw

          Signing Ceremony for Power Purchase Agreement between EPGE under MOEE and Great Hor Kham Public Co.,Ltd. was held at Park Royal Hotel ,Nay Pyi Taw on 5^th July,2018 in the evening (6:30)PM.

          In this ceremony, Union Minister U Win Khaing, Deputy Minister Dr.Tun Naing, U Kyi Moe Naing , Chairman for Pyithu Luttaw Electricity and Energy Development Committee ,U Saw Moe Myint , Chairman for Amyothar Hluttaw Construction, Industry, Electricity and Energy Development Committee, Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo, Director Generals, Managing Directors and Departmental Heads from Departments / Enterprise under MOEE , U Sai Own Myint, Managing Director of Great Hor Kham Public Co.,Ltd. and his members were presented.

          Firstly, Union Minister U Win Khaing delivered an opening address that;

- it is signing  PPA between EPGE and Great Hor Kham Public Co.,Ltd. for purchasing electric power generating from Nam Paw Hydropower Plant,

-In Myanmar, total installed capacity is 5458 MW and MOEE can only generate 3300 MW, in summer so, MOEE is planning to implement 3 LNG Projects to quickly supply to demand forecast,

-MOEE has been planning to construct electric power network system with neighboring countries,

-the Government will try to generate more power by using various resources and encourage private and foreign investments,

-when Nam Paw HPP is completed, it can supply more electricity for local and distribute to 40000 households in Muse and its surrounding villages,

-it can get job opportunities for local people 500 Nos. in construction period and local engineer 30 Nos. in generation period ,

-it can use 1% of net profit in every year for environmental conservation and corporate social responsibility and it is not only for regional development but also for the nation development.
