          The Signing Ceremony for Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between  Chipwe  Nge Electric  Power  Co., Ltd. and Electric Power Generation Enterprise under Ministry of  Electricity and  Energy  was held at Horizon Lake view Resort Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw on 12^th July , 2018 in the evening (06:30) PM.

          In this ceremony, Union Minister U Win Khaing, Deputy Minister Dr. Tun  Naing, H.E. Mr. Hong Liang , Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar , Pyithu Hluttaw Electricity and Energy Development Committee Chairman U Kyi Moe Naing , Amyotha Hluttaw Construction , Industry , Electricity and Energy Development Committee Chairman U Saw Moe Myint, Permanent Secretary U  Tin Maung Oo, Director Generals,  Managing Directors and the responsible persons from Departments and Enterprises under Ministry  of Electricity and Energy,  Chipwe Nge  Electric Power Co., Ltd . Chairman Mr. Li Jianwei and his members were presented.

Firstly , Union Minister U Win Khaing delivered an opening address that; 

• this ceremony is signing Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for purchasing electric power generated from Chipwe Nge Power Station,
• the government will try to generate more power by using various resources and encourage private and foreign investments,
• it can get job opportunities for local people and can support for development of socio - economic life,
• it can use 1% of net profit in every year for environmental conservation and corporate social responsibility and it is for regional development and state development.

And then, Mr . Li Jianwei , Chairman for Chipwe Nge Electric Power Co., Ltd. said thankful remarks.

          Finally , U Khin Maung Win , Managing Director of  Electric Power Generation Enterprise and Mr. Zhao Laipu , Managing Director for  Chipwe Nge Electric Power Co., Ltd. signed and exchanged the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and took group photos.

          Chipwe Nge Hydropower Plant is situated on Chipwe Creek, Chipwe town in Kachin State. State Power Investment Co., Ltd , one of foreign investment companies started this project since 2008 by Joint Venture (JV) System and it has finished in 2011. The  Power generated from this plant is being distributing to Myit Kyi Nar , Chipwe , its surrounding villages connecting national grid via 132kV Wine Maw Primary substation. Its installed capacity is 99 MW and designed annual generation is 599 Milions KWhr.
