-    Signing Ceremony of cable work commissioning agreement for 500 kv Kankaung (Meikthila) - Sapakywe (Taungoo) National Grid System between Department of Electric Power Transmissions and Control System (DPTSC) and China Energy Engineering Group Hunan Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. (For Lot-1) and SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation (For Lot-2) was held on 26^th, December 2018 at (14:00)hr at meeting hall, Ministry of Electricity and Energy(MOEE), Nay Pyi Taw.

-    In this ceremony, H.E. U Win Khaing, Union Minister for MOEE, Deputy Minister H.E. Dr. Tun Naing, Permanent Secretary, Departmental Heads, and responsible persons from China Energy Engineering Group Hunan Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd.(CEEC) and SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation(SEPCO) were attended.

-    Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing delivered an address as follows;

     -    MOEE has conducted and emphasized rehabilitation for substations and low efficiency power plants, construction of new power plants, extension of transmission lines and substations so that to supply full power in accordance with annual requirements.

     -    Existing generation electricity from hydro power plants in Northern part of Myanmar and coming electricity from future power plants will be transmitted to middle part and Southern part of Myanmar.

     -    in current situation, as there are much electricity losses, fully load transmission lines and system breakdown due to distribution by 230 kv voltage.

     -    therefore, back bone, 500 kv kankaung (Meikthila) - Sapakywe (Taungoo) transmission line was started to build since 2014.

     -    according to advice of AF consultant, seismic work for transmission line has conducted by MOEE.

     -    finally, this 500 kv transmission line is very important and also the first one of 500 kv transmission line project in Myanmar,

     -    when it is completed, more electricity will be distributed

-    Then arrangement plan to be completed cable work within limit time was explained by responsible persons from China Energy Engineering Group Hunan Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd.(CEEC) and SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation(SEPCO).

-    Afterwards, Director General of DPTSC, Project Manager of China Energy Engineering Group Hunan Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd.(CEEC) and Director of SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation (SEPCO) signed and exchanged the contract and they took a time for photo section.
