          Dr. Tun Naing, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Electricity and Energy accompanied by responsible persons arrived to construction area of 230 kV Shwebo substation project locating beside of Shwebo- Myitkyina Union road in Shwebo on 31^st December, 2018 in the afternoon.

          Project Director of Power Transmission Project(North) explained the progress of construction works of 230 kV Bhamo-Nabar-Shwebo-Ohndaw Transmission Line, Bhamo primary substation, Nabar primary substation and Shwebo primary substation at temporary briefing hall of Shwebo primary substation project.

          After that, responsible persons of Central China Power Grid(CCPG) also explained about the goals and challenges facing implementing this project. According to their explanations, Deputy Minister  coordinated the necessary items. And then, Deputy Minister and his delegation inspected Shwebo primary substation switchyard and advised the needs of work.

          The aim of this project is to transmit electricity from Dapein(1) Hydropower Station to national grid and distribute more electricity in Sagaing Region.          Construction of Bahmo primary substation, Nabar primary substation and 230 kV Bahmo- Nabar Transmission Line (75)Miles will be implemented  by UREC Company and construction of 230 kV Nabar- Shwebo- Ohndaw Transmission Line (180)Miles, new project of Shwebo primary substation and Ohndaw additional primary substation project will be implemented by CCPG Company of People’s Republic of  China. All construction works will be completed in October , 2019.
