By coordination with Ministry of Electricity and Energy and Yangon Regional Government, Yagon Electricity Supply Corporation (YESC) has constructed 11 kV Transmission Line (8640'), 400 V Transmission Line (3920') and a 11-6.6/0.4 kV 160 kVA Transformer in order to access electricity in Kyae Min Kone Aung Myay Thu Kha Pagoda, Nat Sin Kone Village, Kawhmu Township, Yangon Region. Therefore, the ceremony for getting electricity was held on 18 February in the morning at above-mentioned place.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing, the officials from YESC, Kawhmu Hluttaw representatives, departmental heads and local people.
Firstly, in his opening address, Deputy Minister revealed that MOEE is striving to gain electricity across the nation, the concerted efforts for getting electricity at Kyae Min Kone Aung Myay Thu Kha Pagoda were made by YESC, the people need to know awareness of safety knowledge for using electricity and MOEE usually shares the knowledge of electricity.
There are 137 villages in Kawhmu Township, Southern Yangon. Among them, 62 villages accessed electricity. MOEE are making plans to get electricity in the rest villages of Kawhmu Township such as three villages by Phase I of NEP, 10 villages in 2018-2019 Fiscal Year, 30 villages in 2019-2020 Fiscal Year and 32 villages in 2020-2021 Fiscal Year.
Next, Chairman of Kawhmu NLD U Aye Thein, Kawmhu Pyithu Hluttaw representative U Kyaw Swe Win and Pagoda Trustee U Tin Aung expressed words of thanks.
Then, Dr. Tun Naing, departmental heads and Hluttaw representatives cut the ceremonial ribbon and posted for the commemorative photo.
After that, Deputy Minister and party inspected the conditions of electricity series at the pagoda.
