          H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy met H.E. Mr.Dag-Inge U1stein, Minister of International Development of Norwe at Minister’s Parlour, Office No.(27), on 28^th March 2019, 11:00 AM.

          In this meeting, between Norwegian and Ministry of Electricity and Energy, sustainable cooperation in Hydropower sector, Oil and Gas sector and Human Resources Development sector, cooperation status between Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE)and Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Technical Assistant Program (Phase-I)implemented from 2014 to 2018, in 6 areas of Hydropower Development, Technical Transfer, Implementation Support to Electricity Law and Regulations, Hydropower Standards, Strengthening of Hydrological network and database for hydropower development and NVE Administration and Technical Support, calls for In-house Consultant of Thahtay and Upper Kyeintaung projects and arrangement for Consultant on Construction Management, to attend Hydropower Master Training Norwegian (or) University  of other suitable country planning, Hydrological Database established  situation, Technical Assistant Program (2019-2022)Phase(II) of further collaboration under (85,905,000) Norwegian Krone budget targeting status and awaiting approval for the allocation of funds for signing Electricity Master Plan, Electrification Short, Medium, Long Term Plans and Smart Metering System were discussed extensively.

          In this meeting, attended responsible person are Dr. Tun Naing, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, U Tin Maung Oo,  Permanent secretary, Departmental Heads, H.E. Ms. Tone Tinnes,  Norwegian ambassador for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
