          The consumption rate of electricity in Myanmar is increasing  between(15%) and (19 %) each year. Thus, MOEE is making efforts to fulfill of demand. Currently MOEE can  produce  about (3586) MW  to the National Grid  by generation of  Gas Turbine. The consumption of the Peak Load in Yangon Region is(1548.23) MW, half of the whole Myanmar. Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy accompanied by Deputy Minister H.E. Dr. Tun Naing and Departmental responsible persons   inspected Electricity Distribution of Thilawa Gas Turbine Power Plant and TM - 2500 Mobile Generator in Thakata which were constructed to fill demand, on 3 ^rd  february  2019  in  the  morning.

          Firstly, Union Minister and companions arrived to the Thilawa Gas Turbine  Power Plant. In the meeting  hall, U Khin Maung Win (MD EPGE) and  responsible  persons  reported about the  facts of power plant, distribution and generation status of project. Union Minister  gave instructions  to  be sustainable  power plant, to take care safety for generation in full load and maintenance of power plant.

          Thilawa Gas Turbine is situated in Thilawa special Economic Zone in Yangon Region, that SEZ is requirement full load of Electricity for more development. Using of Yadanar  Gas, it is generating by 2 Nos of 25 MW (Hitachi H-25 Gas Turbine)  the total is 50 MW. Without using another gas,  it can  generate next 5 MW by using water injection method, Japan technology, in short time. This Project was constructed   commencing  from  2015 and completed in 2016 by Japan ODA Loan USD 126 millions. It  transmitted  to  National Grid  by 230 kV kamarnut Line and 230 kV Thanlyin line, Thilawa SEZ by 33 kV from 12 feeder,  kyauktan township by  33 kV line.

          And then, Union Minister and companions arrived to the Thakata Gas Turbine  Power Plant. U Khin Maung Win (MD EPGE) and  responsible  persons  reported about the  facts of power plant, the condition of Generation, upgrading of turbine and the synchronization of National Grid. U Tin Aung (GM YESC) reported about the  TM -2500 mobile  Gas Turbine  in fact and condition of generation. Union  Minister  inspected to  be sustainable  power plant, to take care safety for generation in full load.

        This TM -2500 mobile  Gas Turbine  has  install capacity  25 MW. YESC used 30 billion of the special fund of the President under the plan of Yangon Government. YESC constructed it commencing  from  2017. It has been generated in the summer period, in power consumption of Peak Load, commencing from  2018.
