              Union Minister for Electricity and Energy, H.E U Win Khaing, received the Ambassador of People’s Republic of China (PRC) to Myanmar, Mr. Hong Liang, at Union Minister’s parlour on 10:00 AM in the morning.

              During the meeting, Union Minister said that it is a delighted time for visiting when the Ambassador had completed his tour of duty in Myanmar, MOEE concluded the outcomes were precious in Ambassador’s term, a Master Plan to implement China-Myanmar economic corridor project was signed and had become quite well established and bilateral relation and cooperation was also strengthened day by day and H.E will support the cooperation in electricity and energy sector to be promoted.

     The Ambassador expressed words of thanks for coordinating in electricity sector as well as energy sector during his 3 years term, hope to be increased Pauk-Phaw relation between China and Myanmar, transportation, electricity and energy sectors are important in implementation of China-Myanmar economic corridor, expect to implement electricity and energy projects as quickly as possible and will provide his support in the best possible way for continuing cooperation in electricity generation and distribution sectors, hydroelectric, oil and natural gas sectors.

          Also present at the meeting were departmental heads with Union Minister.
