Deputy Minister for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Dr. Tun Naing, accompanied by departmental head inspected 28 MW Gas Power Plant Project in Shwe Taung Gas Power Plant in Shwe Taung city, Bago Region and 66 MW Gas Power Plant Project in Magwe Substation in Magwe city, Magwe Region, which to supply the growing demand for electricity in the summer of 2020 on October 27, 2019.

           Firstly, the Deputy Minister and companions arrived 28 MW Gas Power Plant Project in Shwe Taung Gas Power Plant in Shwe Taung city, Bago Region and were presented the project's details and the status of the project by the project manager. H.E. gave instructions to be completed the project in time, to be rapidly generated and distributed the electricity and to be nothing impact on the workplace and inspected the situation of the project activities in the project area.

Next, the Deputy Minister and companions inspected Tower No. (429) of 230 kV Taungtwingyi - Shwe Taung double circuit line in the switchyard of Shwe Taung Power Plant which conduct retaining wall due to erosion and Repairing floor which low about 300 foot 230 kV Extension Switch yard Retaining Wall of Shwe Taung Power Plant`.

              After that, the Deputy Minister and companions arrived to the 66/33/11 kV, 10 MVA Pyay Substation in Bago Region. 66/11 kV, 10 MVA Substation in Aunglan City, Magway Region and the 66/11 kV, 5 MVA Substation in Sinpawaw Township and were presented the situation on the distribution of electricity from the substation. H.E. gave instructions there would be no voltage drop and to minimize the power shortage and inspected the substations.

          Continuously, Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing accompanied by Magway Regional Government of Resources, Environment, Electricity and Energy Minister, U Myint Zaw and responsible person arrived 66 MW Thermal Power Plant Project in 132 kV Magway Substation in Magway City, Magway Region and were presented the situation of the project and distribution plans after completion the project.  H.E. gave instructions to be nothing impact on the workplace, to meet the standards, to properly utilize the equipment used in the project, to ensure the budget is not wasted and to be completed the project in time and inspected the situation of the project activities in the project area. And then, H.E. and companions inspected the implementation of 33kV Switch Bay for 66 MW Thermal Power Plant in 132kV Magway Substation.

          Ministry of Electricity and Energy is implementing 28 MW Shwe Taung Thermal Power Plant and 66 MW Magway Thermal Power Plant as well as 20 MW Thermal Power Plant in Khon Chaung Power Plant in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, 151.54 MW Thermal Power Plant in Ahlone Power Plant in Ahlone Township, Yangon Region, 150 MW Thermal Power Plant in Kyaukphyu, Rakhin State, 350 MW Thermal Power Plant in Thanlyin Township and 400 MW Thermal Power Plant in Thaketa Power Plant in Thaketa Township, Yangon Region with a total of 1,165.54 megawatts of electricity from the seven projects to distribute in 2020 summer.
