         Deputy Minister (Electricity) for Ministry of Electricity and Energy U Khin Maung Win accompanied by departmental responsible persons inspected Magway Gas Power Plant Project (66 MW) in Magway Primary Substation compound, Magway Region, and Shwe Taung Gas Power Plant Project in Shwe Taung Substation compound, Bago Region so that to supply increased electricity demand for upcoming summer of 2020.   

        Firstly, in Magway Substation meeting room, Deputy Minister (Electricity) and his party was presented construction schedule for Magway Gas Power Plant Project (66 MW) and distribution plan after completion of this project by project manager, electricity transmission to national grid by substation executive engineer,  electricity usage and increased electricity demand of Magway Region by Magway Division Engineer. On their explanations, Deputy Minister (Electricity) gave instructions that to be stable for power system, distribute full voltage and decrease  electricity losses and inspected 33 kV switch bay extension work and connection process plan between generated power and national grid.

       Continuity, Deputy Minister (Electricity) and his party inspected Magway Gas Power Plant Project (66 MW) and the responsible persons presented installation status of gas turbines and Deputy Minister (Electricity) gave the instructions that to work safely  , to be standardize in construction materials, to make sure that the usage of equipment in the project, need to meet the standard quality to be complete on time.

    Deputy Minister (Electricity) and his party arrived Shwe Taung, Bago Region were presented salient features and implementation processes of Shwe Taung Gas Power Plant Project (28 MW) by responsible persons, Electricity usage, increasing power demand in future and future plan of Bago Region (west) by Devision Engineer and Deputy Minister (Electricity) gave instruction of the needs work.

     Moreover, Deputy Minister (Electricity) and his party inspected retaining wall construction, switchyard and new power plant project site and gave instruction that to complete on time,  to arrive and install the equipment in time and to generate and distribute electric power fast and not to get injured in project site. 

     The purpose of above two gas power plant projects (Magway Gas Power Plant Project 66 MW and Shwe Taung Gas Power plant Project 28 MW) is to be generating electricity in early summer 2020 and to connect national grid is still underway.
