              H.E Union U Win Khaing, Minister for Electricity and Energy received Ms. Nina Irmeli Vaskunlahti Vaskunlahti, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland. Finland’s Under-Secretary of State for External Economic Relations and officials from the US-ASEAN Business Council on 2 October 2019 at Ministry of Electricity and Energy Office (27) in a separate meeting.

              Ms. Nina Irmeli Vaskunlahti, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Finland, the Ambassador of Finland to Myanmar, Finland’ officials of Electric and Energy sector working in the energy sector, generating energy from waste products, sharing technology and experience on clean and smart energy, finding sustainable solutions to natural resources, future plans for generating, transporting and distributing electricity, loans for developing the electricity and energy sector and the further implementations concerning the MoU for developing the electricity sector signed on 30 July 2018.

              And then, the meeting with the US-ASEAN Business Council, Led by its Presidents Mr Alexander C Feldman, and Officials from the US Embassy discussed investments concerning basic infrastructure for electricity and energy, improving cooperation between both nations and future projects.

          The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing of Electricity and Energy, Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo and departmental heads.
