            The 3^rd meeting of the Dawei Special Economic Zone Management Committee was held at meeting room of Ministry of Electricity and Energy in Nay Pyi Taw on 21^st August.

            The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for Ministry of Electricity and Energy Dr. Tun Naing, Dawei SEZ Management Committee’s Chairman, the Vice Chairman (1) U Phyo Win Tun, Tanintharyi Region Planning and Finance Minister, the Vice Chairman (2) Dr. Myint Sann, Secretary Dr. Tin Htoo Naing and members and Directors of Dawei Special Economic Zone Development Co., Ltd. (Special Purpose Vehicle-SPV) Myanmar.

            In his opening address, Dr. Tun Naing said that Dawei SEZ Management Committee was making efforts to successfully implement the project of Dawei SEZ. All would have to discuss the issues pointed from Myanmar Special Economic Zone Central Working Group Meeting (1/2018) held on 2^nd August and to approve six memorandums presented now.

            And then, Dawei SEZ Management Committee’s office team presented their duties such as the situations that they performed, tourists visiting and meeting to Dawei SEZ, the negotiation on land lease preparation for initial project with Italian-Thai Co., Ltd. and the future procedures and processes, the conditions for legal consultant work and advisory fees paid to issues, issues for achieving annual fees and read out confirming a statement of Dawei SEZ Management Committee.

            The attending people decided the fastest ways to implement the initial project as well as discussed improvements for construction of a 2-lane road from Dawei SEZ to Htee Khee, Thai border area, with loans and things has been supporting by Dawei SEZ Management Committee.

            In conclusion, Dr. Tun Naing expressed words of thanks to all for helping dynamically with new ideas and urged to support for promoting the project in the future too.
