Opening Ceremony of “Grid Integration and Distributed Generation” training under arrangement of Myanmar-Newzealand Renewable Energy for Engineering Officers from MOEE

-      Opening Ceremony of “Grid Integration and Distributed Generation” training under arrangement of Myanmar-Newzealand Renewable Energy for Engineering Officers from MOEE was held at MOEE, building no (27), Yadana Hall, 09:00 hr on 9-10-2018 in Nay Pyi Taw.

-      In this ceremony, Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing for MOEE, Deputy Minister H.E. Dr. Tun Naing, Newzealand Deputy Head of Mission to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Dr. SARAH Gallom, Project Director from Auckland University, Professor ROSALIND Archor, departmental heads, trainers and trainees were presented.

-      Firstly, Union Minister gave an opening address that:-

-    This training is cooperation under Myanmar-Newzealand Joint Commitment for Development Cooperation 2017-2021

-    Grid Integration and Distributed Generation training for engineering officers will be conducted with the aim to achieve sustainable and reliable power using renewable energy resources for 2 weeks

-    Myanmar is a rich energy resource country such as Hydro, Solar and Natural Gas

-    MOEE is arranging to produce electricity from energy resources which can be used in future Energy Mix

-    Newzealand trainers will give lessons based on international experience in renewable energy technical subjects

-    Trainees acquire to study so that can apply practical fields

-    Would like to request Newzealand Government to give continuous supports regarding renewable energy for human resource development

-    Would like to urge trainees to give attention to lectures, technical knowledge sharing from this training

-      And then, Newzealand Embassy Deputy Head of Mission to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Dr. SARAH Gallom expressed words of thank for having a chance to develop renewable energy sector of Myanmar.

-      Finally, all the attendees took a time for group photo section.
