          Delegation led by Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy attended the Belt and Road Energy Ministerial Conference hosted by National Energy  Administration of China –NEA on October 18, 2018 at 09:00 a.m. in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China.

          In this conference, State Councilor of China, Mr. Wang Yong delivered an opening speech and read a congratulatory letter sent by H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, Chinese President.

          The energy ministers and senior officials from 29 countries and senior representatives from 7 international organizations attended the conference.  Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy also attended the conference and discussed about the development of Electricity and Energy Sector in Myanmar and the State of the cooperation of China and Myanmar.

          In this conference, the following data discussed among the participants such as

• to be emphasized on the renewable energy  as it can reduce the climate change of the world  and
• to give necessary aids and to cooperate the nations which are facing the difficulties of reducing Carbon.

          At the time for stopping round table, the responsible persons from China Datang Over Seas Investment Co., Ltd. that implemented Dapein (1) Hydropower Plant discussed with Myanmar Delegation in a topic of the  hydropower projects implementing  investigation works and to  further implement  in the future and to learn the Policy of Trade of Border  Area Electricity   with International Energy Partnership. 

          Then, Ministers attended the conference made a Joint Declaration on Building the  Belt and Road Energy Partnership.
