          Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing for MOEE accompanied by Deputy Minister H.E. Dr. Tun Naing and responsible persons inspected the situation of 90MW Gas Fired Engine  Power Plant Project implementing as per Build- Operate Own (BOO) System, Independent Power Producer (IPP) by VPower Holding Limited based on Hongkong in Taungtha Township, Myingyan District, Mandalay Region to fulfill electricity demand in coming summer on 24-11-2018 in the morning .

          Firstly Managing Director U Khin Maung Win, EPGE and responsible persons of VPower Holding Ltd., explained the status of project. Union Minister inspected the work area and instructed the needs.

          Myingyan 90MW Gas Fired Engine Power Plant Project will consume Domestic Natural Gas 20 MMCFD from Shwe Gas Project. This Project is implemented with the aim to fulfill electricity demand within in a short time, in 2019. Power generated from this plant will distribute via Myingyan 132kV substation to Myingyan, Taungtha, Ngazan, Natogyi and Nyaung-U Township. Installed capacity is  1.56MW x 64Nos, totally 99.84MW.

          Guaranteed produce electricity amount is 90MW and yearly produce is 630million unit as per design.

          Continuously, Union Minister and companions inspected 225MW Gas Fired Power Plant Project which is implementing by Sembcorp Myingyan  Power Co.,Ltd, Myingyan Township, Myingyan District.

          Power Purchase Agreement(PPA) of 225MW Myingyan Gas Fired Power Plant was signed in 29-3-2016. As the first step, 144MW in 5-7-2018, the second step, 81 MW in  2-10-2018 had been started to generate electricity economically.

          Total installed capacity of power plant is 230MW. Guaranteed produce electricity amount is 225MW and yearly produce is 1675 million unit as per design.

          Electricity produce from this plant is connected into the National Power System via 230kV Myingyan steel main substation using 230kV Thapyawa-Myingyan steel transmission line.
