                 The coordination meeting with the township electricity engineers to improve power system stability, to reduce electricity losses, electricity shutdown and to additional distribution of electricity in Northern District, Yangon Region was held at YESC (Head Office), meeting hall on 22.12.2018 in the morning 10:hr.

                 In this meeting, Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing, Deputy Minister H.E. Dr. Tun Naing, Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo, Chairman of YESC, Director Generals and Managing Directors of Departments and Enterprises, Departmental Heads, District Managers and Engineers, Township Managers and Engineers in Northern District were presented.

                 In opening speech, Union Minister pointed out:-

-    MOEE is performing to improve electrification ratio up to 55% of the whole nation in 2020-2021.

-    Managing to stable power system, to reduce electricity losses, to reduce electricity shutdown for fulfill electricity distribution with voltage stable.

-    YESC is striving with the aim to meet 100% electrification ratio in 2020-2021.

-    This meeting was held to reduce electricity shutdown and electricity losses, to upgrade for fully load of substation and transmission line for electricity distribution.

-    MOEE is managing generation, transmission and distribution sector in accordance with State’s objection to fulfill electricity demand so that to be ready for coming investment.

-    MOEE is taking the main role for the investment.

-    Besides, conducting and changing as an organization which can give the best services in electricity distribution as require as and qualify for the public.

-    Urge every person to be done tasks with full responsibility and accountability so that Ministry’s aim comes into success.

-    MOEE has Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), which will use full qualify electricity with good services for the public.

-    Needs to obey MOEE’s SOP. Nowadays, need to rehabilitation as fast as on weakpoints.

                   And the, plan to reduce electricity losses, status of annual increased power consumption, electricity shutdown and electrified households were explained by township electricity engineers respectively.

                   The additional explanation was made by electric engineer (planning), Northern District. The situation of implementing the transmission lines and substations in Northern District were explained by Director General and Deputy Director General of DPTSC. And then, plans of ongoing process on technically needs was explained by Deputy Minister.

                   Finally, in Union Minister’s concluded speech, H.E. instructed to serve with full responsibility and accountability on the tasks and to take care for safety.
