          Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy accompanied by Deputy Minister H.E. Dr. Tun Naing and Departmental responsible persons   inspected Myogyi  Hydropower Project on 13 ^th  January 2019  in  the  morning. It is situated on the river bank of Zawgyi near Myogyi Village, south of Shan  State .

          Firstly, Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing and members inspected the water impounding and  storage in reservoir, intake and   spillway in  Myogyi. Responsible persons  explained about that.

        Continuously, Union Minister and  companions inspected  the condition of Generation with the synchronization of National Grid in the control room and  turbine room and  Switch Yard.

          And then, in the briefing  hall, U Khin Maung Win (MD EPGE)and  responsible  persons  reported about the  facts of power plant, on annual water impounding ,storage and generation, maintenance of power plant and the condition of distribution to villages near the plant. Union  Minister   gave instructions  to  be sustainable  power plant, to take care safety for generation in full load and to reduce shutdown. Union  Minister   met with  the officials   from Myogyi and Taungtawkwin Substation  closely and solved their  requirement .

          Myogyi  Hydropowerplant   is   situated  on  Zawgyi River near the Myogyi Village, Ywangan  Township,  South of  Shan  state. Its Installed capacity is 30 MW, two 15 MW Francises Turbines. In order to generate (135.7) Gwh per year, it  was constructed   commencing  from  2013 and completed in 2016. The generated electricity  has  been distributed by 33 kV double circuit  to  the National  Grid Via Taungtawkwin Substation  (10.8) miles far from the plant.
