Opening Ceremony of 66 kV Ngayokekaung - Ngayokekaungtaung Transmission Line (15.32)miles and 66/33/11kV , 10MVA Ngayokekaung Substation

Opening Ceremony of 66kV Ngayokekaungtaung Transmission Line (15.32)miles and 66/33/11kV , 10MVA Ngayokekaung Substation implemented by Department of Power Transmission and System Control was held at Ngayokekaung Substation in Ayeyarwaddy Region on 23rd March , 2019 in the morning (09:00)AM.
In this ceremony , Union Minister U Win Khaing , Dupty Minister Dr. Tun Naing , Regional Ministers , Representatives from Ammyothar Hluttaw and Regional Hluttaw , Departmental Heads , Local people and guest were attended.
Fristly , Union Minister U Win Khaing delivered an opening address that,
- national development is concerned with sufficient electricity , so ministry is striving to distribute more electricity all over the country and also performing to distribute sufficient electricity to Ayeyarwaddy Region from National Grid,
- previously , Pathein , Athoke , Yegyi , Myaungmya , Latpottar townships were distributed 66 kV voltage system from 230 kV Athoke substation . Ministry of Electricity and Energy has implemented 230kV Athoke - Pathein Transmission Line ( 31 )miles and 230 / 66 / 11 kV , 100 MVA Pathein Substation . They were finished in 2015 . 66 kV Pathein - Ngayokekaungtaung - Ngapyayma Transmission Line ( 82 ) miles and 66 / 11 kV 5 MVA Ngayokekaungtaung substation , 66 / 33 kV 20 MVA , 66 / 11 kV 5 MVA Ngapyayma substation were finished in 2016,
- 66 kV Ngayokekaung - Ngayokekaungtaung Transmission Line (15.32) miles and 66 kV Ngayokekaung Substation construction work was started in 2016-2017 fiscal year and finished on 23.12.2018,
- 339 households among 1008 in Ngayokekaung township were already distributed and Ngayokekaung , surrounding (38)villages and (5924) households would be electrified around the clock from National Grid after completion of ongoing projects,
- The above transmission line and substations were carried out using over Ks (6619) millions,
- currently, 267333 households among 1488983 ( 18% of Ayeyarwaddy Region) are already electrified by National Grid and Ministry of Electricity and Energy will perform to distribute the rest,
- Currently , maximum peak Load is 3600 MW and annual electrification demand is increasing between 15 % to 19% , so ministry is managing to fulfill it,
- Ministry will construct 230 kV Minhla- Athoke Transmission Line (83) miles and Hinthada substation, 230 kV Hinthada- Myangaung- Oakshipin Transmission Line (105) miles and Myangaung Substation.
- Electrified households were (4.79) millions (44%) in December 2018 and remaining are (6.07) millions (56%) among (10.877) million .
- Ministry is managing to get electrified households (50%) in end of 2019 and 55% in March 2020 by using international Loan, Union Budget, State and Regional Budget,
- Ministry want the people to corporate on getting electricity all over the country in 2030 for the development of the nation,
- As, electricity has been more distributed in Ayeyarwaddy Region, socio- economic development rate as well as water product business would be improved with momentum.
- In previous, our country has exported as raw material, but now can be produced as finished product and so foreign export system will be improved.
Continuously , Regional Electricity , industrial, Road and Communication Minister U Win Htay explained about the performance of enhancement distribution electricity in Ayeyarwaddy Region and the implementation condition and U Than Nyunt, one of elders of community in Ngayokekaung spoke thankful remarks.
And then , Union Minister U Win Khaing switched on the commemorative stone and sprayed the fragrance to Ngayokekaung substation and inspected in the control room and switchyard.
Union Minister met with district electrical engineers, township electrical engineers and substation engineers at Regional Electric Engineer office, Pathein, on 22nd March 2019 in the evening and delivered the followings;
- Ministry is managing not only to get electrified households(50%) in December 2019, 55 % in 2020-2021 years, and up to 75 % in 2025-2026 year, but also more electricity distribution , to be less electricity shortage and losses, to get reliable power system and full voltage and stable power distribution
- to fill the public requirement in this region and give the best service to public in accordance with the public’s servants,
- to manage to fulfill the demand in respective region with various ways,
- the staffs need to perform for the success of the aim of the Ministry with full responsibility and accountability without corruption,
- to follow the standard in implementation work.
- Moreover, district electric engineers presented the distribution status, yearly electricity demand and the condition. Regional electric engineers presented the distribution status and the implementation conditions and Deputy Minister Dr.Tun Naing brief up and Union Minister instructed the needs of work.
