          U Win Khaing , Union Minister for Ministry of Electricity and Energy met H.E. Mrs. Suphatra  Srimaitreephithak , Thailand Ambassador to Myanmar in meeting hall of Office No.27, Ministry of Electricity and Energy on 16^th May 2019 in the morning 10:00AM.

          In this meeting , Union Minister U Win Khaing said the followings ;

• Ministry of Electricity and Energy acclaims for appointment as  Thailand Ambassador to Myanmar,
• Ministry of Electricity and Energy hopes to do for development on cooperation in electricity and energy sectors between two countries during his assignment period,
• Ministry of Electricity and Energy will cooperate enthusiastically regarding the needs of annual projects, ongoing projects cooperating with thailand companies and the projects aid by Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA) so that to develop cooperation between two countries ,
• Ministry of Electricity and Energy has been performing  organizing National Renewable Energy Committee (NREC) which has main responsibility to conduct renewable energy projects,
• Ministry of Electricity and Energy has been planning to generate 8 % to 12 % electricity from renewable energy and also to supply local demand in short term,
• Ministry of Electricity and Energy has been planning for sustainable development projects in electricity and energy sectors.

H.E. Mrs. Suphatra  Srimaitreephithak , Thailand Ambassador discussed the followings,

• thank for meeting with her ,
• if she would be know detailed information of NEDA’s projects, it will be quick action in annual budget allocation,
• Thailand will support enthusiastically in implementing the above projects,
• Thank for the aids on ongoing projects conducting by TTCL and Toyo – Thai companies ,
• there are many companies which want to invest in Myanmar ,
• the explanation of Union Minister would be shared to thailand  investors and would invite them to invest in Myanmar.

          In this meeting , U Tin Maung Oo , Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Departmental heads and the responsible persons from Thailand Embassy  to Myanmar were presented.
