           To supply electricity in summer season of 2020, H.E. U Khin Maung Win, Deputy Minister (Electricity) for Ministry of Electricity and Energy and responsible persons inspected Thilawa, Thaketa and Alone Gas Turbine Power Plant and New Power Plants in Yangon Region on 8^th December, 2019.

          Firstly, Deputy Minister and his companion arrived the meeting room of Thilawa Gas Turbine Power Plant in Kyauktan Township. In the meeting room, responsible persons explained the current status of 350 MW (LNG to Power) New Power Plant and 25 MW combine cycle power plant implemented by JICA Loan. Deputy Minister instructed to take care of maintenance works of power generators, to implement 350 MW (LNG to Power) New Power Plant and to supply electricity to National Grid. And then, Deputy Minister and his companion inspected around the additional power plant area.

          Next, Deputy Minister and his companion arrived to 400 MW (LNG to Power) New Power Plant in Thaketa Gas Turbine Power Plant in Thaketa Township and inspected the project works. Responsible persons explained the current status of works of the power plant. Deputy Minister instructed to implement civil works of power plant in time, to aware the safety and to perform targeted work plan carefully in time.

          And then, responsible persons explained the current status of 66 kV GIS substation implemented by JICA Loan and the renovation of 3 Nos. of Power Generator implemented by the foreign technicians from Marubeni Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation. According to this explanations, U Than Naing Oo, Managing Director of EPGE made additional explanation. Deputy Minister instructed to perform targeted project works in time, to aware the safety, to supply electricity from (1) No of Power Generator in coming summer season.

          After that, Deputy Minister and his companion arrived to meeting of Alone Gas Turbine Power Plant in Alone Township. In meeting room, the foreign technicians from CEEC Co., Ltd and responsible persons explained the current status of 151 MW new power plant. Deputy Minister instructed to finish this power plant in coming summer season, to aware the safety, to pick over construction materials from port and to perform stability for power system. And then, Deputy Minister and his companion inspected around this power plant area.

          Finally, Deputy Minister also instructed to produce (1166) MW from Magway, Shwedaung, Kyun Chaung, Alone, Kyaukpyu, Thanlyin and Thaketa Power Plant in time, to monitor the current power station and maintain the efficiency of power generator.
