Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing, accompanied by Pyithu Hluttaw Electricity and Energy Development Committee Chairman U Kyi Moe Naing and members and responsible persons inspected 230 kV Taungoo Primary Substation in Bago Region on 18th August,2018.
Firstly, Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing ,Pyithu Hluttaw Electricity and Energy Development Committee Chairman U Kyi Moe Naing and his companions arrived to Thaukyegat(2) Hydropower Station and inspected electric power transmission and distribution Status in Control room.In the meeting room, the responsible persons from power plant presented salient features, informations of power plant, yearly power generation and distribution status, water inflow and storage condition of reservoir, regular maintenance work and Deputy Director General of DHPI brief up about spillway discharge, power intake, yearly and monthly rainfall condition, monitoring and evoluation work by using dam monitoring instruments for preventing disaster and hazard. On his explanation, Pyithu Hluttaw representatives asked they want to know and responsible persons answered these questions .Then,Deputy Minister made additional explanation and gave instructions that;
And then, Deputy Minister and Hluttaw respresentatives arrived to main dam body and inspected water inflow and storage condition of reservoir, power intake and over flow of spillway.
Thaukyegat(2) Power Station is situation on Thaukyegyat creek near Taungoo in Bago Region and it is the frist project implemented by Gold Energy Co.,Ltd based on Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) System. This power station is one of the Sittaung River Basin Projects. Generated Power is transmitted to National Grid since February 2013. The installed capacity is 120 MW and designed annual generation is 604GWhr.
Deputy Minister and Hluttaw respresentatives arrived to 230 kV Taungoo Primary Substation and power station manager presented about the datum of substation, installation of transformers and power distribution status. Deputy Minister gave instructions that;
Deputy Minister and Hluttaw respresentatives arrived to Power System Department (Nay Pyi Taw) and Deputy Minister explained about electricity control and distribution status, setting power generation starch out warning in accordance with hydropower and gas power plant’s requirements. Hluttaw respresentatives asked what they want to know and responsible persons and Deputy Minister made brief explanation.
