           U Win Khaing, Union Minister for Electricity and Energy attended the 12th Singapore International Energy Week Opening Ceremony held in the Marina Bay Sands Hotel on October 29th and 30th and Singapore Energy Summit Accelerating Energy Transformation၊ Transformation - Accelerating Action Electrification-Powering Growth; Singapore International Energy Agency Forum; Attend the seminars on Opportunities and Challenges in the Southeast Asia Energy Landscape with discuss the topic.

          The Union Minister with H.E. Sinava Souphanouvong, Deputy Minister for Energy and Mine from Laos, Prof Masakazu Toyoda, Chairman and CEO of the Institute of Energy Economics from Japan (IEEJ), Ms. Marianne Laigneau, Group Senior Executive Vice President (in charge of the International Division) from EDF Co., Ltd,  Ms. Lucy Craig, Vice President and Director of Technology and Innovation  from DNV GL – Energy Co.,Ltd  attended on the topic of Electrification Powering Growth  in Panel Discussion, on October 29th, 2019,

      In this meeting, outermost of renewable energy and on urban nuclear energy, hydrogen energy effective use is important role for the Global Electrification Transition Energy. Over 70% of CO2 is being emitted Due to the usage of energy on transportation, Industry and Thermal energy in the worldwide and it is facing climate change. Electricity sector is important in reducing these factors. Southeast Asia is enjoying increasing power consumption along with economic growth. In order to fulfill the demand electricity, Clean & Model Power Grid was constructed to supply power system in the region and to share resources. It is possible to combine the resources available in Energy Mix. The meeting was discussed by the Union Minister for the research and development of new energy and storage of energy such as solar and hydropower. By 2030, to achieve electricity access to the whole Nation to meet energy requirement Hydropower, Natural gas, LNG In addition, they discussed the situation and experiences of electricity trading with neighboring countries, as well as solar and other sources.
