H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing for MOEE and Chief Minister for Rakhine State U Nyi Pu accompanied by Rakhine State Minister for Electricity, Industrial and Road Transport U Aung Kyaw Zan and responsible persons inspected the gas production and distribution status from Block A-1 and A-3 of Shwe Project, Rakhine State, northern part of Myanmar on 5^th May, 2018 in the morning.

              Firstly, Union Minister and his companions was explained the status of gas exploration , production and distribution, export and import,  aid in socioeconomic development of local people by the responsible persons and U Myo Myint Oo, Managing Director of Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise made additional  explanation. Union Minister and Chief Minister discussed on their explanation. And then, Union Minister instructed to carry out job opportunities, to get work experience and  technical knowledge for  local people and to perform work safety  carefully.

              Union Minister, Chief Minister and their companions inspected current situation of gas production and distribution from control room.

              Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE), Daewoo International  Corporation , ONGC Videsh Ltd., GAIL (India)Ltd., Korea Gas Corporation and China National United Oil Corporation signed the contract for gas exporting and purchasing for Shwe gas to China since 24-12-2008. Gas production from Shwe Project is not only distributing in local  but also selling 4 million cubic feet per day through 40 inches diameter pipe line to China.
