Conducting Coordination meeting on the Plans about Electricity Substations and Transmission Lines for stability of Electricity System and Distribution in Yangon Region

The coordination meeting on the plans about electricity substations and transmission lines for stability of electricity system and distribution in Yangon Region was held at YESC (Head Office) meeting hall on 1-9-2018 in the morning 09:00 hrs.
Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Deputy Minister H.E. Dr Tun Naing, Regional Minister of Electricity, Industrial and Communication Daw Ni Lar Kyaw, Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo, Chairman of YESC, Director Generals and Managing Directors of Departments and Enterprises, Departmental Heads, District Managers and Engineers, Power Plant Managers and Substation Managers were presented.
In this opening speech, Union Minister pointed out :-
To actively serve in upgrading process of transformers, electricity line cables and materials used in electricity production and distribution in order to power system stability and electricity distribution in Yangon Region,
Need to systematically assign duty up to lower level from responsible persons of District Level and Substations Officers,
To serve the work safety process as it is direct communication office with public,
Need to make plan B due to usage of the materials can damage anytime,
Need to uplift work ability of Ministry to get good outcomes.
And then, the plans of transmission lines and substations, the status of complement of exchanging the transmission lines and plans of ongoing process are respectively explained by Managers of (4) Districts under YESC,
And then, Chairman and Executive Officer of YESC explained about to extend construction of power plants, transmission lines and substations, replacement of transmission line cables, additional installation of transformers for more and more consume of electricity in Yangon Region.
Deputy Minister discussed about the work process those will implement in Districts and Daw Ni Lar Kyaw discussed about the status of additional requirement of electricity due to the projects those will be implemented in the future.
Union Minister instructed to share knowledge for electricity safety and to strive so that can give better electricity service in Yangon Region.
Yangon Region have a total of household about (1.5) million and electrified is about (1.3) million, it means electrification ratio is 83%.
Yangon Region is using about 46% of electricity production of the whole Myanmar and improving yearly about 15 % in Yangon Region.
So Ministry of Electricity and Energy is striving in not only production but also distribution to fulfill electricity and constructing additional transmission lines, Substations, Power Plants and transformers in order to supply electricity including the villages in Yangon Region.
