           Signing Ceremony for 10^th PPA between EPGE and Shweli (1) Hydropower  Co.,Ltd. was held at Horizon Lake View Resort Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw on 12^th September 2018 in the evening (06:00) pm.

          Union Minister U Win Khaing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Chairmen and Secretaries for Pyithu Hluttaw Electricity and Energy Development Committee and Amyothar Hluttaw Construction, Industry, Electricity and Energy Development Committee, Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing, Permanent Secretary and departmental heads, Mr. Hong Liang , China Ambassador for Myanmar, Mr. Ma lipeng, Managing Director of Shweli(1) Hydropower Co.,Ltd. and responsible persons were presented.

        Firstly, Union Minister U Win Khaing delivered an address that;

-      this is signing ceremony for 10^th PPA for purchasing power from Shweli (1) Hydropower Plant

-       Shweli (1) Hydropower plant is situated on Namkhan township, Shan State(North), installed capacity is 100 MW x 6 Nos, total installed capacity is 600 MW and Designed annual generation is 4022 million kWhr

-       400 MW from Shweli (1) Hydropower Plant was transmitted to Myanmar National Grid via Mansan Substation connecting with 230 kV transmission Line

-       In summer, electric power consumption comes large, full load 400 MW is transmitted to Myanmar National Grid

-      this is benificial project for our country and one percentage of annual net profit is used for CSR work as environmental preservation programme and social benefit programme, so it gives a helping hand to  local and nation development in a way

        Mr. Hong Liang, China Ambassador for Myanmar and Mr. Ma Lipeng, Managing Director of Shweli(1) Hydropwer Co,Ltd. expressed words of thank.

       And then, U Khin Maung Win, Managing Director of Electric Power Generatiom Enterprise and Mr. Ma Lipeng, Managing Director of Shweli(1) Hydropower Co.,Ltd. signed and exchanged the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)and took group photos.
