Deputy Minister (Energy) for Ministry of Electricity and Energy Dr. Tun Naing, accompanied by U Soe Hlaing, Kayin State Electricity and Industry Minister, and officials concerned inspected LPG shops that are importing, storage and distribution tasks by local private companies in Myawaddy, Kayin State on 11th November, 2019.
The in-charges of shops and responsible persons of respective companies presented works conducted to Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister gave remarks on the reports to carry out safety, to take precautionary measures for preventing fire hazards, to provide fire drill as well as fire safety equipment in accordance with the regulation, to demonstrate the ways of using LPG effectively and safely to the public and to be necessary to import, store, distribute the LPG for quantity and quality in accordance with standard specification. And then Deputy Minister and his party looked around LPG shops.
LPG Association in the Myawaddy Border regularly distributes about 2,000 ton of LPG per month to the whole country with the stipulations set by Ministry of Electricity and Energy. As a result of using LPG across the nation in a wider scale, there will be a plenty of benefits such as electricity consumption reduction, fire-woods substitution, pollution and environmental damage degradation.
