Dr. Tun Naing, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Electricity and Energy inspects the energy sector in Mandalay Region

         Dr. Tun Niang, Deputy Minister (Energy Sector) for Ministry of Electricity and Energy and oil field commander accomplished by Departmental Heads inspected the Myanmar-China Oil and Natural Gas Pipe Line project, Mandalay Operation Center (Taw Ma) in Sintgaing Township, Mandalay Region, Natural Gas Off-Take Station in Taungtha Township and Pipe Line Maintenance Station, Pyawbwe on 30th November, 2019.

          Firstly, Deputy Minister and his entourage arrived at Myanmar-China Oil and Natural Gas Pipe Line project, Mandalay Operation Center (Taw Ma) in Sintgain. Responsible persons reported about the status of receiving, transmission, and distribution of oil and natural gas. Deputy Minister ordered to observe the pipe line and compressor and operate the necessary maintenance in time because it is important pipe lines to be strong to continuously supply oil and natural gas, to train the local Myanmar staffs working in this project to be the one who can oversee the whole project by giving the vocational training and open the pipe line maintenance training for civil servants from Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise. And then, they inspected the control station.

          Then, Deputy Minister and his entourage arrived at the Natural Gas Off-Take Station in Taungtha Township. The responsibilities from this station explained the status of the operation of the Off-Take Station. After that, they inspected the receiving, transmission and distribution status of natural gas in the Off-Take Station Control Room and ordered the requirements.

        It is regularly supplying to Kyaukse Glass Factory, Power Plant in Bei  Lin and Power Plant in Myingyan totally about 100 mmcfd, about 28 mmcfd natural gas produced by Shwe Offshore from Mandalay Off-Take Station (Taw Ma) to Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise and 72 mmcfd from Taungtha Off-Take Station, via Bei Lin and Myingyan Natural Gas Distribution Station.

          After that, they arrived at Pyaw Bwe Pipe Line Maintenance Station under Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise. The responsible person from this station reported about the condition of oil and natural gas pipe line maintained by this station. And Deputy Minster ordered the requirements and inspected within the station.
