The coordination meeting for the project works of construction site and power plant which will be implement in 2018-2019 Fiscal Year of MOEE was held on 10^th, May 2018 (7:30 hr) in Yandana Hall, Office No (27), Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Nay Pyi Taw.

          H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing, Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing, Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo, Heads of respective Department/Enterprise and Corporation under MOEE were attended to the meeting.

          Firstly, Union Minister said that this meeting is very important for future plan of MOEE. Instructions in the first speech of State President U Win Myint are guide lines and policy include economic, management, rule of law and clearance of corruption for civil servants. Among them, one of the guide lines for MOEE is getting electricity (3000) MW within the next three years for power consumers. So, MOEE has to perform in each sector of planning, transmission and distribution with target, objective and implementation methods. In power supply sector, foreign companies are investing 100 %. According to power generation mix, MOEE has to get electricity from various sector such as hydropower, renewable energy, LNG and electricity purchasing across border trade. Staffs of Township Manager Office and Township Engineer Office have to solve the problems of electricity cut off patiently for power consumers. And then they have to make know all the bottom level staffs about President’s instructions and MOEE’s goal. All of MOEE’s staffs have to try for distribution of qualified electricity with good intention.

          And then the Directors and State/Region Engineers presented and explained the current situations and future plan of hydropower projects, transmission line projects and conditions of electricity distribution in 2018-2019 Fiscal Year. Then Director Generals and Managing Directors made additional explanation on.

          And then the Chief Executive Officers of YESC and MESC also presented and explained the current situations of electricity distribution in Yangon and Mandalay Regions. Director General of DEPP added on their explanation. And then Deputy Minister discussed on their explanation and Union Minister delivered the closing remark.

          Eventually, H.E. Union Minister awarded certificates of honour to brilliant engineers for maintaining the renovation works in timely for hydropower and gas turbine plants, State Electrical Engineer for Kachin for performing the electrification of Kawnglanghpu Township and staffs of Magway Regional Electrical Engineer Office and Test Lab under DPTSC for substituting transformer in 132 kV Magway substation in timely.
