Ministry of Electricity and Energy started construction work of 230 kV Hlaingtharyar-Kyaiklat Transmission Line (52.26) miles and 230/66/11 kV၊ (100) MVA and 66/33 kV၊ (30) MVA Kyaiklat Substation since 2014 for more electricity distribution in Ayeyarwaddy Region. Ministry of Electricity and Energy started electric power transmission to Kyaiklat Substation on (28-6-2018) via Hlaingtharya- Kyaiklat Transmission Line and 230/66/11 kV 100 MVA transformer in Kyaiklat Substation.

Due to increasing the international fuel price and foreign currency exchange rate, domestic used fuel price can be increased. Therefore in order to control fuel price, local petrol produced from Petrochemical Complex (Thanbayakan). MPE under MOEE will be sold by retail in a reasonable price at 8 state owned fuel stations such as NPT(0354), Yangon (0275,0254,0247), Mandalay(0611,0614), Bago (0192) and Hin Ngoke Pin (Taungoo)(0160) freely everyday so that to use vehicles/motorcycles commencing on 1-7-2018.

Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing for MOEE accompanied by departmental heads from DPTSC and YESC inspected substations in Alone and Haling Thar Yar Townships, Yangon Region on 23rd June 2018.
