Union Minister for Electricity and Energy, H.E. U Win Khaing, received H.E. Mr. Kristian Schmidt, the Ambassador of European Union and H.E. Mrs. Alessandra SCHIAVO, the Ambassador of Italy to Myanmar, at Union Minister’s parlour on 18th November, 2019 at 15:30 PM.
During the meeting, they cordially discussed and exchanged views to promote cooperation of European’s Companies in Renewable Energy (RE) Sector, Focusing on short/long term electricity development plan, promotion of Transparency in implementation of projects, participation of private sector, existing movements and future program of National Renewable Energy Committee (NREC) for development of RE Sector, investment of European’s Companies in Energy & Power Sector and other investment opportunities, financial supporting as grants, loans and aids to be assisted by European Investment Banks, policies of Climate change, Reform of Privatization, promotion of HR program.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing, Deputy Minister U Khin Maung Win and Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo and departmental heads as well as the officials from European Union Embassy.
