              Delegation led by H.E. U Win Khaing, Union Minister for Ministry of Electricity and Energy attended the 37^th ASEAN Energy Minister Meeting and related meeting held from 4 to 6 September in Bangkok, Thailand. In 7^th September 2019, the airline left Bangkok and arrived in Yangon, where authorized persons from the Ministry of Electricity and Energy welcomed at the Yangon International Airport.

         During the meeting, Union Minister discussed the development of ASEAN Energy and Electricity sector , Energy security, the development of renewable energy and the transmission of electricity through ASEAN energy ministers, ASEAN+3 and energy ministries from East Asian countries.

            After the meeting, Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister met and discussed separately a delegation led by Assistant Secretary H.E Mr, Francis Fannon from state for Energy Resource in US, and H.E Mr. Michael Walter Michalak, senior Executive officer of the ASEAN –US Economic Cooperation Commission (US - ASEAN Business Council) about the cooperation and investment promotion for the development Myanmar’s energy sector.
