           3^rd meeting of Electricity and Energy Sector Coordination Groups(SCG) with the aim to be further effectively use in limited sector getting Loans and foreign aids for investment sector development of State was held at Yadana Hall, Ministry of Electricity and Energy on 8-8-2018(10:00)hr this morning.

           In this ceremony, Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Deputy Minister H.E. Dr Tun Naing, Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo, Chairmans of Corporations, Director Generals, Managing Directors of Departments and Enterprises Departmental Heads, responsible persons from International Embassies, delegations from relevant ministries, delegations from organizations of finance and allied parties for development were presented.

           This coordination meeting was held one after another for performing effective assistance in Electricity and Energy Sector Development with guideline of development assistance coordination group, to implement the most fruitfully plan and aids for public as priority, Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan is plotting to lay down firm development plan of future Myanmar is making cooperation with relevant ministries and allied organization lead by Ministry of Planning and Finance, to implement together with States, Regions and Union Ministries for nation development, Ministry of Electricity and Energy will perform with the aim for efficient energy, performing to distribute electricity to the whole nation in 2030, Ministry of Electricity and Energy can distribute up to 42% of total households in this year, there is 51% of the electrified villages, Ministry of Electricity and Energy produce 3300 MW in 2018, here 60% from Hydropower, our country is rich hydropower, solar energy, wind energy, natural gas and bio fuel, have to produce electricity from various energy resources with appropriate ratio for the least of the environmental impact, to enhance in Gas(LNG) due to the decline of production of domestic natural gas, to perform Hydropower Project as long term plan, Ministry of Electricity and Energy has to issue notice to proceed for cooperation with private and new Hydropower Project, Shweli (3) Project and Deedote Project will be constructed Deedote Hydropower Project by using Low Head Hydropower Dambesides this Ministry of Electricity and Energy will run first stage 40 MW of Renewable Energy usedPower Plant (Minbu 170 MW) in February 2019, will perform to get 8% component ratio of renewable energy in year 2021, after that will perform to get 12% later 3 years, now, there are various proposals from Solar Developers said the Union Minister.

           And then Union Minister said that regarding electricity transmission sector, will perform dividing into 4 portions (East, West, North, South) on 500 kV system of electricity system to mutual assistance, will distribute to the whole nation with 230 kV transmission lines from main electricity system, Ministry of Electricity and Energy has organized joint working group from India, China, Lao for discussion of electricity trade sector with neighbouring countries, to serve the corresponding matter of Grid Code which will connect transmission line within countries, to perform National Electrification Project implementing under World Bank Loans in Electricity distribution sector rapidly, as per current electricity charge need to consider on Tariff Mechanism.

           And then, the status of implementing of Thathton Gas Turbine Project with installed capacity (119.8) MW as World Bank Loans and National Electrification Project from delegation of World Bank Group, implementing Renovation works of Baluchaung No(1) and Seidawgyi Hydropower Plant as Japan Loans from delegation of JICA, repair of Gas Turbine Plant in Yangon, new construction of Thilawa Gas Turbine Plant, the status of 500 kV and 230 kV transmission line and implementation of substation project in transmission sector, the development of electricity distribution for Yangon and the main city in electricity distribution sector,

           besides to develop socio-eco of local people in State and Division implementing for development of electricity distribution Projects, for Development of Electricity Distribution Sector Project in Yangon, Mandalay, Sagaing and Magwe Divisions from delegation of Asia Development Bank, the status of 230 kV transmission line and substation project in States and Divisions for development of electric system, electricity distribution in 3 district of Shan State (South) from kfw of Germany, to negotiate its not delay of respective sector from other allied partner nations for development were discussed by respective person.
