Trilateral Ministerial Meeting for Electric Power Trading Initiative between Myanmar-China-Bangladesh was held in Horizon Lake View Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar on March 9, 2018. H.E. U Win Khaing, Union Minister for Electricity and Energy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, H.E. Mr. Li Fanrong, Vice Administrator of National Energy Administration of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Dr. Tawfiq-e-ElahiChowdhury BB, Advisor to Prime Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Senior Officials on Energy from esteemed countries attended the meeting.

  Presentation & Workshop regarding Feasibility Study Report for Lemro (1) Hydropower Project was held at M Gallary Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw , on 8th March, 2018 in the morning.           H.E. U Win Khaing, Union Minister for MOEE, Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing, U Salai Isaac Khen, Chin State Minister for Energy, Electricity and Municipality, Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo, Director Generals, Managing Directors, Departmental Heads of MOEE, H.E. Mr. Oliver RICHARD, French Ambassador for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and personal concerns, responsible persons from TRACTEBEL ENGINEERING S.A., ENGIE Group, FASEP Club Guests of French which would conduct bilateral cooperation for Lemro (1) Hydropower Project were attended to this workshop.

Under the guidance of the State President's trip to Putao- Kawnglanghpu on 13th January 2018, H.E. U Win Khaing, Union Minister for MOEE instructed to transport 10 kW×3 no. generators to Kawnglanghpu in order to distribute electricity across the town. They were moved very difficult due to no motor way but successfully arrived at Kawnglanghpu on 12th February 2018. The town was electrified by 18.75 kW generator before. For more electricity supply, the construction of new transmission line 400 V × 3200 feet was completed on 27th February 2018 and opening ceremony for transmission line 400 V × 3200 feet and totally 48.75 kW generator was held on 5th March 2018. Battalion commanda lieutenant colonel Nay Myo Zaw, township administrator U Myint Tun and U Peta, personality of the town, cut the ribbon to open this ceremony. Now, Kawnglanghpu is electrified almost the whole town.

  H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing accompanied by Deputy Minister and Permanent Secretary met Managing Director of Myanma Petrochemical Enterprise together with General Managers of Refineries, Fertilizer Plants, Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) Plants, Methanol Plant (Seiktha) and Director of Crude Oil and Petroleum products Movement Department under MPE for discussing on performance of this Enterprise on 6th March, 2018 in the afternoon.

  H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing for MOEE accompanied by Deputy Minister Dr.Tun Naing and Departmental Heads arrived Shan State  Government Office in Taunggyi, Shan State on 4 th March 2018 morning. Union Minister U Win Khaing negotiated with Chief Minister and Ministers for Shan State for cooperation in Electricity and Energy Sectors.
